AN OUTSTANDING TERROIR

Man’s intervention notwithstanding, Baron de Lestac owes its high quality and noble pedigree to an outstanding terroir.

From an etymological point of view, the word “terroir” comes from the French word “terre”, meaning “earth”. From a viticultural point of view, however, “terroir” does not refer only to the soil in which a vine is grown. It consists of a whole ecosystem: the interaction of soil, climate and plant. Terroir is the link between the final product and its roots.
